MOVIE — After The Last of Us, The Uncharted Movie, and the anticipation of the Horizon and God of War series, this is a new video game adapted into fiction that will reveal itself a little more on Tuesday, May 2.

Gran Turismo, one of the iconic racing games for the PlayStation, which will be released on August 9, reveals its trailer (see below).

The cast includes Orlando Bloom (Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean), a young Archie Madekwe (Midsommar) and Geri Halliwell (ex-Spice Girls), with Neil Blomkamp (District 9) directing.

The film tells the true story of Yann Mardenborough, a young Gran Turismo player. This one, after years of playing the franchise published by Sony, becomes a real professional racer after participating in competitions organized by Nissan. Of course, his path there will be littered with pitfalls…

Launched in 1997, the Gran Turismo franchise has eight main episodes and five versions released consecutively on PlayStation 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5.

Known for its cutting-edge visual realism and near-real-life driving experience, it is one of the best-selling video game series in the world with 90 million copies sold.
