Revenue continues to lose, and Twitter’s advertising revenue in December 2022 will drop by more than 70% year-on-year



According to news from IT House on January 25, according to Reuters, data from advertising research companies show that,Ad spend on Twitter to drop 71% year-over-year in December 2022as top advertisers cut spending on the social media platform after Elon Musk took over Twitter.

While the Standard Media Index (SMI) releases the latest figures,Twitter is making moves to reverse advertiser loss. To win back advertisers, Twitter has launched a series of initiatives, including offering some free ads and allowing the company more control over its ad targeting.

IT Home learned that, from the SMI data,Ad spend on Twitter to drop 55% year-over-year in November 2022although these months are typically times of higher ad spend, with brands promoting products during the holidays.

Twitter did not immediately respond to a request for comment.Another research firm, Pathmatics, estimates the top 30 advertisers on Twitter under Musk’s tenure14 have stopped all advertising on the platform.
