NetEase Cloud Music: In the first half of the year, the monthly active users reached 180 million, and the music library exceeded 106 million songs. Nearly half of the people read the comment area when listening to songs.

IT House August 18 news, NetEase Cloud Music today released the first half of 2022 financial report. The financial report shows that NetEase Cloud Music’s net income in the first half of the year was 4.26 billion yuanan increase of 33.8% year-on-year; net adjustmentNet loss of RMB 217 millionthe net adjusted net loss in the same period last year was 533 million yuan, a sharp decrease of 59.3% year-on-year.

NetEase Cloud Music’s revenue mainly comes fromOnline music service, social entertainment service. Among them, revenue from online music services in the first half of the year was RMB 1.78 billion, mainly due to the substantial increase in sales revenue from membership subscriptions. The number of monthly paying users of online music services increased from 26.134 million in the same period last year to 37.613 million, a year-on-year increase of 43.9%.Online music service payment rate further increased to 20.7%.

Revenue from social entertainment services and others was RMB 2.46 billion, a year-on-year increase of 56.7%. As of the end of June, the number of monthly paying users of social entertainment services has increased to 1.2 million.

The financial report shows that, thanks to the substantial increase in revenue and the control of content licensing fees, the gross profit margin in the first half of 2022 will further increase to 12.6%, recording a gross profit of 540 million yuan, higher than the whole year of last year. The adjusted net loss in the first quarter of 2022 decreased from 540 million yuan in the same period last year to 220 million yuan, a sharp decrease of 59.3% year-on-year.

In the first half of 2022, the number of monthly active users of NetEase Cloud Music’s online music service was 181.9 million peopleboth on a month-on-month and year-on-year basis, remained roughly stable, while the ratio of daily active users/monthly active users (ratio of daily active users/monthly active users) remained above 30% during the period.

IT House has learned that as of the end of June 2022, NetEase Cloud Music’s content library containsOver 106 million music tracks, including music from well-known labels, independent musicians, and self-made content. Meanwhile, NetEase Cloud Music has served more than 529,000 registered independent musicians. In the content library, about 2.3 million music tracks come from independent musicians registered with NetEase Cloud Music.
