Jony Ive Designs ‘The Most Perfect Red Nose Ever’ For Comic Relief UK

Former Apple designer Jony Ive created a new look for a red nose to celebrate Red Nose Day, an annual Comic Relief charity event. TV show, aired on British television,Aims to raise funds for the poor and vulnerable.

The nose is made of 95% plant material,And with folding paper designinitially a small flat crescent, pops open into a honeycomb paper ball ready to be placed on the nose.

The BBC Newsround program described Jony Ive’s design as “the most dramatic makeover since the red nose debuted in 1988”.

To launch the nose, Comic Relief co-founders Richard Curtis and Sir Lenny Henry tapped actress and comedian Diane Morgan to voice a tongue-in-cheek short film.

In short, Diane Morgan compares the design to Earth, then praises the importance of the “perfect circle” before describing how the new model is “the most perfect nose in history.”

Jony Ive said, “This new deceptively simple red nose is a very intricate little piece that involved a whole team in designing and making it. We hope it brings a little joy to everyone who wears it.”

IT House understands that the funds raised are being appealed to support people in crisis and address issues such as homelessness, mental health and food insecurity. Last year’s Comic Relief raised £42,790,147 ($52,735,219, currently about 356 million yuan).
