Bixby Vision’s wine recognition and shopping service on Samsung phones will be disabled in February



According to news from IT House on January 25, according to feedback from netizens, some services of Samsung Bixby will stop supporting.

Samsung mobile phone Bixby issued an announcement service change notice,Bixby’s visual wine recognition and shopping service will be available by the end of January. Meaning these features will be discontinued from February. Users can also view the notification by going to More Options > Settings > About Bixby Vision > Service Notifications in Bixby Vision.

last year end,android Police issued a document stating that there are signs that Samsung may cut off its own voice assistant service Bixby. Compared with Google Assistant, Amazon Alexa and Apple’s Siri, Samsung’s Bixby is slow and inaccurate, and it is not very useful for Samsung Galaxy phone users.

IT Home learned that Samsung announced in 2020 that it would no longer develop the AR function Bixby Vision. These features allow users to try on makeup, decorate their home, and more. Basic visual search and translation features are still there, but much of what the service has to offer is gone. Two years later, it’s still just basic functionality, with no improvements seen at all.
