All Apple iPad mini 3 cellular/Wi-Fi models will soon be listed as “discontinued”



According to a memo obtained by MacRumors, Apple will mark all Wi-Fi and cellular models of the iPad mini 3 as Obsolete within a few weeks.

Currently, only specific cellular models of the iPad mini 3 are marked as discontinued, but that will change soon. The iPad mini 3 keeps the same design as its predecessor, but with improved performance.

Apple designates a product as discontinued 7 years after it was last sold.All hardware service for discontinued products will cease, and service providers will not be able to order parts for discontinued equipment.

IT Home learned that the Apple iPad mini 3 was released in October 2014, using the A7 chip and adding the Touch ID fingerprint recognition function. It has a 7.9-inch screen, a 5-megapixel iSight camera, supports 1080P high-definition video recording, and supports Apple Pay.
